![]() ![]() Maybe 2006 will see some better options availability. Its very disapointing cause the 4500/5500 series GM's are what I'm looking for in a large frame truck with capasity to spare. And as stated before, no exhause brake option on the 4X4, but only on the 4X2. Why will GM not put a manual behind their 6.6 diesel? It makes no sense. routinly make deliveries of 11 1/2 - 13 yards. The only auto that seems good is the one my neighbor has in his Oskosh front loading mixer. Never had one that lasted over 40K and an old '88 Chevy I had with a 350 V8 could barly pull a 3K boat my father-in-law use to have. automatic transmissions are NOT for towing, but for cars. I will NEVER trust an automatic transmission again. loaded to the gills.Īlso, a manual transmission is a must. New home sites are an absolute mess and almost always I have to put the truck in 4-Low to pull the trailer out of the site. My neighbor and I currently use my current truck and 9K Hydro-Dump trailer on new home sites to load up on wood (from the lot being cleared). ![]()
